Corporate Social Responsibility


The Associated Industries Rural Development Trust was formed in 1979 by the Group Companies to fulfill the mission of being a group with a social conscience. The Trust adopted two villages namely Timba and Navapura in Gujarat promoted a variety of educational, medical, social and developmental programs, in these villages, with the involvement and participation of the local population. These activities were extended to the other villages from time to time.

The number of villages adopted, as on date 10.

The work in these villages is initiated in a collaborative manner so as to discourage dependency and ensure a inbuilt element of self - sustenance of these villages.

Objectives

  • Commitment of Social Obligation
    The Gandhian principle of Trusteeship is well emulated by the Trust in the sense that the trustees have diverted a part of their business operational profits to developmental activities in villages.
  • Self Reliance
    While translating this sense of social obligation into specific tangible processes, the Trust is committed to initiate activities with the involvement and participation of the local population and ensure an inbuilt system of self-sustenance.
    In terms of perspective and approach, we have perceived a need for initiating developmental processes with an interface which integrate:

    • Infrastructural facilities available at village level.

Our other Trust

Smt. Santokba Bhagwati General Hospital Trust manages 50 bed hospital at Dholka, established in 1967, provides OPD, OT, gynecology, skin & pediatrics. It is equipped with operation theater and pathological lab services for general as well as gynecological surgery.
